Triangles \(ABC\) and \(A_1B_1C_1\) are similar. It is known that \(AB:A_1B_1=3:4\), \(AC=12\). Find \(A_1C_1\).
All corresponding sides have the same ratio.
Since \(AB:A_1B_1=3:4\), we also have \(AC:A_1C_1=3:4\). Therefore \(A_1C_1=12\cdot\frac{4}{3}=16\).
A minimal exercise in proportions.
